Working for better transportation, fairer taxes, or less burdensome regulation, the South Shore Chamber of Commerce is leading the effort to improve the business climate for the region’s businesses – for your business. Our priorities include:

• Improving Route 18 and building the East-West Parkway, opening up the South Weymouth air base for long-awaited residential and commercial development.
• Widening a critical stretch of Route 139 in Marshfield to unlock business growth in the town.
• Helping Hingham realize the economic potential of the Derby Street area without disrupting the quality of life in the community.
• Lobbying to make the state’s data security regulations less of a burden on small business without jeopardizing consumer protection.
• Rolling back the stiff new state restrictions on “independent contractors” that are stifling the businesses of many consultants, freelancers, and start-up companies.
